Our Chelsea Gallery is Now Open

We are proud to announce the opening of our first physical gallery space in Chelsea. Located at 302–304 Fulham Road, this new space is a dedicated home for emerging artistic voices and collectors who want to experience contemporary art in a fresh, dynamic way. Our doors officially open to the public on 18th June 2025.

Since launching Waran’s Fine Art, our mission has been to make art collecting more accessible while maintaining the quality and curatorial insight of the traditional art world. This gallery is a natural extension of that vision, offering a place where art lovers, collectors, and first-time buyers can connect with exceptional work.

To celebrate this milestone, we are proud to present a bold new solo exhibition from one of the UK’s most exciting contemporary artists.

Presenting ‘The Billionaires Series’ by Mr. Controversial

To mark the launch of our Chelsea gallery, we are proud to unveil The Billionaires Series, a bold new solo exhibition by the provocative mixed-media artist Mr. Controversial. Running from 5th June to 5th July 2025, this collection is an unfiltered exploration of ambition, power, wealth, sex, and the darker side of aspiration.

Known for his large-scale oil paintings, text-led works, and multidisciplinary approach, Mr. Controversial brings a biting satirical lens to contemporary culture. This new body of work asks difficult questions: what does it really take to infiltrate the world of the ultra-wealthy? What moral boundaries are crossed in the pursuit of extreme success? And who do we become in the process?

The exhibition features his signature use of irony and bold graphic phrases, layered across a mix of oil painting, photography, digital collage, and silkscreen printing. Iconic luxury symbols, 70s erotica, currency, and visceral imagery such as a Rolls Royce and a knuckle duster appear throughout the series. Every piece is designed to provoke, amuse, and spark reflection.

Unified by a psychological thread, the series confronts the primal instincts that drive ambition: survival, dominance, and self-preservation. While each work stands alone, together they form a powerful commentary on the cost of success and the transformation it demands.

The Billionaires Series is unapologetic, satirical, and deliberately ironic in both subject and execution. It is not for the faint-hearted. But for those willing to look deeper, it offers a raw and timely reflection of our modern world.

Certificate of Authenticity

A certificate of authenticity (COA) is a document from an authoritative source that verifies the artwork’s authenticity. While many COAs are signed by the artist, others will be signed by the representing gallery or the printmaker who collaborated with the artist on the work. For secondary market works, authorized estates or foundations are often the issuing party.

COAs typically include the name of the artist, the details (title, date, medium, dimensions) of the work in question, and whenever possible an image of the work.
